Sheikh Zayed was born in the Emirate of AbuDhabi in 1918 at Qasor Al-Hosn to Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed, the ruler of AbuDhabi from 1922-1926. He was the youngest of Sheikh Sultan's four sons and he was named after his famous grand father, known as "Zayed the great".



Sheikh Zayed had a strong passion for any thing with which a true born Arab is identified as falconry, riding Arabian through bred camel and mastering archery. His character was shaped in his early youth while living in the city of Alain, at the time of Sheikh Zayed birth, the Sheikdom of AbuDhabi was one of seven trucial states along the lower coast of Arab Gulf.

He moved to Alain in 1927, as Zayed was growing up, there were no modern school anywhere along the coast. He only received a basic instruction in the principles of Islam, and lived in the desert with Bedouin tribesmen familiarizing himself with life of the people, their traditional skills and their ability to survive under the harsh climatic conditions. 

Sheikh Zayed was the UAE's founding father who left behind a legacy of noble value such as equality, tolerance, charity and generosity that have remained long after his 33 year leadership.

What did Sheikh Zayed achieve for his country and when?


The country of the UAE is a federation of seven emirates, AbuDhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras alKaimmah, Sharjah and Um alQuwain it was established on 2 December 1971 - Eventually seven states followed Sheikh Zayed in establishing the UAE, since 2 December 1971.

One foundation of his philosophy as a leader and statesman was that the resources of the country should be fully used to the benefit of the people this extended to the woman of the UAE who flourished under his vision of education, employment and equality for all Emirates.

As the country grew, the conservation of natural environment and wild was critical to Sheikh Zayed .
He also applied his tolerance ideals more broadly within the Arabian Gulf region, and the wider Arab world.



Sheikh Zayed become the ruler of AD (AbuDhabi) 1966, the year also witnesses the establishment of a number of administrative departments.
He establish Mina Zayed on 1969-
He forms the (AD) fund for economic development to distribute wealth among poorer Arab states.

The UAE joins the Arab league and the Islamic conference.

Then established (AD) departments of Education, health, and police come under the federal ministries, he established universities.

The Gulf cooperation council is formed. 

Multibillion dolar petroleum industrial complex stands in Raise, (AD) airports.

He ststands beside all Arab countries and supports all Islamic countries also.

Zayed Humanitarian Day is held each year as an occasion to remember Sheikh Zayed humanitarianism and great achievements.
Sheikh Zayed believed that the country's wealth from oil and gas should be devoted to assisting less fortunate countries and individuals how nations around the globe have benefited from Zayed's legacy in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Africa, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Yaman and do on.



You should know about Sheikh Zayed after was the muslim leader, the spirited leader, and the Arab leader, the Diplomatic leader, the leader who welcomed refugees, "man of environment and development.

  • I am citizen who is loyal to the nation, observes laws and seeks to achieve the advancement.
  • I am citizen who is enriched with good ethics, favourable manners, and seeks assert its individuality.
  • I seek to provide an honourable like to my family and aware if its responsibilities.
  • Be faithful to the UAE and its leadership.
  • Maintain security and safety of the state.
  • Follow the guidance and instructions regarding the use of the public utilities.
  • I respect others in the community what so ever their categories respect the cultures in community.
  • To keep my environment clean and safe, also to make my school clean.
